I’m Katherynn Swayzer (pronouns she/her), a dedicated RN and Birth Doula passionate about empowering birthers through every stage of their journey. With years of experience in both hospital and home birth settings, I blend professional expertise with personalized care, ensuring that every birther feels supported, informed, and confident. My commitment extends beyond in-person services, offering virtual doula support to reach those near and far. My goal is to be your trusted partner in creating a birth experience that’s uniquely yours.

My home life

I am the Mom of two sweet little girls (one born in a birth center and one born into my arms in my car!) and wife to a loving and supportive husband who spends his days in the Army.

I’m a Colorado Native, but have lived in KS, HI, NC, VA, WA, & AK.

Gardening, reading, hiking with my 3 dogs, drinking (lots) of coffee, and spending time with family are my favorite activities!

Fun fact: The first birth I ever attended was the birth of my little sister when I was 14, and then she was a part of my support team for the births of my own daughters!

MY work life

Starting with a BA in Psychology, I transitioned to a BS in Nursing to take a more hands-on role in wellness. My career began in the ICU, eventually leading to work as a Travel Nurse. After my own empowering birth in 2021, supported by an amazing Doula, I shifted to Birth nursing and Doula work. My passion is creating a nurturing, supportive environment for families during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, advocating for informed choices and a hands-on support team throughout the journey.
